For Orange Ball (4th-6th Grade) we have three divisions. One division is for more experienced players ("Advanced"); one division is for intermediate players ("Intermediate"). The 3rd division is for beginners and is more of an intro-to-match-play clinic where beginner players will be paired with other players by the coach to play a series of short doubles matches with the help of the coaches. Players in the Beginner division do not need to have their own partner to participate.

  • We are using a new platform, Universal Tennis Rating (UTR), to register for the tournaments.

  • ***Make sure that if you are registering your child, you put in THEIR name, birthday, gender, skill level, etc. when you create the account and take the skill placement quiz. You can use your email but you will have problems registering due to age/gender restrictions set on each division if a parent puts their own information on the profile.

  • For Doubles tournaments, MAKE SURE YOUR PARTNER IS ALREADY REGISTERED ON UTR BEFORE YOU TRY TO SIGN UP FOR THE TOURNAMENT.

  • Depending on weather and registration numbers, there may be more tournaments added on Weekdays.

  • Tournaments will take place at various tennis courts in Utah County.

  • Based upon registration numbers there will likely be different start times or multiple locations. Look for an email the night before the tournament that has your estimated start time. There will be wait times between each match, the length of which depends on the number of participants.

  • It is double elimination and you will keep playing as you keep winning. All players will play multiple matches against multiple opponents.

  • The tournament could take 2-6 hours in total with a start time varying between 8 AM and as late as 1 PM, depending on the division and the size of the tournament.

  • Registration will close the Wednesday before the tournament at 8 p.m.

  • There are 5 divisions in each category that you can sign up for based on ability and experience. (See division explanation below)

  • Registration for the upcoming tournament will be posted by the Monday before.

  • The age limit is usually 11-19 for yellow ball and Orange Ball tournaments are for grades 4-6, though we will have a couple of no age restriction tournaments.

  • Click the button below to register.

  • We hope to have a tournament every week over the summer

COVID-19
  • Although most of the state is beginning to open up operations, and youth are generally low-risk, we will still be taking precautions. Luckily, tennis is a sport that naturally lends itself to social distancing. Though we will be taking some precautions, ULTIMATELY, PLAYERS AND SPECTATORS PARTICIPATE AT THEIR OWN RISK.

  • Players will be asked to not shake hands after matches, but to find other non-contact ways to show good sportsmanship.

  • Players and spectators should socially distance at all times during the tournament (6 ft distance), and all are encouraged to wear a mask when not playing a match.

  • Players who are ill or have been in contact with someone at risk of COVID-19 should withdraw from the tournament and contact the tournament director. Players will pass a symptoms check when checking in on the day of the tournament.

  • For doubles tournaments, players are encouraged to pair with a family member or someone with whom they already have close contact. Also, they are encouraged to limit physical contact during the tournament.
